I have dealt with nearly 50 real estate transactions in my life. Dealing with John "Rum" was the only one that was unethical and criminal. He pushed for the sale with his lender. When it came down to close, my financing fell through using his lender. They were no where to be found and they kept my earnest money 3k. They never even called, they just sent an email. My husband and I really got lucky getting connected with Rum! His enthusiasm and energy is infectious, and it was present at every interaction we had whether it was on the phone or in person. His willingness to go above and beyond to make sure we were exactly where we needed to be was unfailing. We would not recommend John Rumcik or his associate, Scott MacDonald, under any circumstances. He assisted in the purchase of my grieving mother‘s home for HUNDREDS of thousands of dollars UNDER market value, and she was advised by him and his partner, and another associate not to get an appraisal, as it was 'unnecessary'. John was absolutely the best. We connected with him through Zillow and had helpful conversations with him almost immediately. John fought for us to get us a good deal, answered all our questions and -- perhaps most importantly -- shielded us from the most stressful parts of the home buying process.
