Due to my move to Milwaukee, I had to switch primary care providers and chose Doctor Betz. He was thorough, understanding, and took my family cancer history seriously (in the past I’ve had providers blow me off because of my age) and ordered appropriate tests and screenings. I feel fortunate that he was such a strong advocate in the course of a visit.
I had my first visit today. From the front desk people, to Carol (an angel and his nurse), the Dr. himself, the checkout lady and lab technician, I was very pleased. He addressed every concern I had, explained things clearly and got prescriptions filled and referrals made. I did not feel rushed and I am not nervous at all about going back. I highly recommend the entire team, especially Dr. Betz and Nurse Carol.
This happened years ago, but I think people deserve to know. First of all, his office staff and nurse are borderline racist. They will treat you like you're a toddler because you're not a native English speaker. My main issue was, however, was a way bigger problem. When I told him I was afraid of using insulin because they nearly killed my mom by overdosing her with insulin, he said "fear doesn't kill people but diabetes does."
