About this business
Opened in the summer of 2006 to replace the aging University Hall, the University of Virginia now holds its basketball games, concerts and other events in this 16,000 seat arena. Built almost entirely from a private donation, it takes its name from a former alumni, and not the Revolutionary War naval hero. It shouldn't be hard for fans to find, since it's right across the street from the old facility.

I am disappointed to see JPJ is hosting a circus. By now, it common knowledge that animal circuses are inherently cruel and inhumane. Animals in circuses spend about 11 months/year traveling, during which time they are chained, isolated, forced to stand in their own waste and to tolerate unhealthy extremes of temperature. Animals are trained using methods based upon fear and pain, starting when they are separated from their mothers as babies.
