Trying to collect a debt from me that is over 15 yrs old. Every year or so they send me court papers treating me. Never had a debt with them OR the company they're representing!
In California, the statute of limitations for debt collection is four years from the date of the last activity on the account. This means that if it's been more than four years since the last payment or purchase on a credit card account, the debt is considered expired and cannot be the subject of a lawsuit.
