John is exceptional. From the very first session, we have felt seen, heard, and supported in a way both of us hadn’t experienced before. John’s compassion, patience, and insight have created a safe space where we can talk open and honestly. John has an incredible ability to ask the right questions, challenge us when needed, and guide us toward real growth. We leave each session feeling lighter, more grounded, and more hopeful. We cannot recommend John enough.
John is great! He’s very informed with ADHD diagnosis and is helpful navigating family dynamics.
Met with John Ostby as a family to discuss ways to create better family habits and connections with our kids. After one of my boys discussed how we would rough house on occasion (all innocent - playful activities) - Ostby decides to get child services involved. They proceeded to come to the school and interview them individually. We then had a social worker visit our house - who could tell in 15 minutes that they were part of a loving family and safe home. Mr. Ostby has been instrumental in guiding me in difficult situations and has been a source of strength for me. He is compassionate and knowledgeable.
Went to see John with my wife and 2 kids to build better family habits and now have Child Protection Services coming to visit our house. One child talked about how we rough house sometimes - and the therapist apparently rushed to judgement regarding abuse. I have never even spanked my child and am beyond furious that I now have to defend my reputation. There was no follow up with my wife, myself or the child who made the statement. A 1 hour visit - has turned into a nightmare.
