Excellent Dr.
Same as other LOW reviews. Rude, no empathy, no care, combative, walked out initial in-take mtg and Part II intake! (He, Dr. requested Part II intake appt.! ~complicated medical history. Didn't review med records sent!!! Didn't even know why I was there for Part II!!!! Doesn't explain, doesn't evaluate, never listened to my heart! (heart issues) or anything! Would only renew scripts and push referrals. OMG Can't believe he sees patients! ... . Honestly, choose another if you want care.
Very rude, not personable, and invalidating experience overall. Had to go to him as my own PCP was unavailable. I understand now why he had so many appointments available…. Never again would I go see Dr. Benavidez. If you want someone to take your concerns seriously - steer clear and believe the Google reviews.
Do NOT go to this "doctor." Banner's internal ratings give him 4.9 stars, please judge for yourself based on Google reviews. I saw this doc for the first time, I had a question about the risks of statins vs cholesterol and he got up and WALKED OUT, while I was in mid sentence. Unprofessional, condescending, rude. Hey Banner, don't ask me for an incident report because I already reported the doctor to the practice, and won't stop there.
He may be the smartest man on earth. I don't know. He has zero people skills. It's actually uncomfortable to be in a room with him. I have a personality, he doesn't. If you can't communicate with people, you should be in Medical Research where youd don't have to deal with actual people. I called about an important issue, and he had his assistants call me instead. I'm just blown away. He's nice but nowhere near effective. I recommend seeing anyone but him. He really let me down. I've switched off of him. Found a new primary.
