Dr. Tinker always listens and cares about his patients.
When I first met Dr Rinker I really liked him but my last appointment with him left me feeling very upset. I ran it by a few people who said I should find a new doctor. You do have to sometimes point things out.
He medically gas lighted me. He use to be good but now he isn’t
Dr Rinker is young. But he cannot think outside of his box. He treats on lab values and test results and is unable to determine when tests/lab are inappropriately normal in relationship to other lab valves. If he can't figure it out, then it must "all be in your head" He is good at explaining what he believes the problem is, but will not listen to the patient point of view-trying to explain your position will offend him. He has very thin skin, is aloof and condescending at times.
Although, Dr. Rinker spends the time and takes time to explain what, he believes, the condition is he is somewhat aloof in his approach. When I see him I always come out feeling I've wasted his time. From this point forward, I will only see Dr. Patel or go to urgent care.
Dr. John Rinker's performance bordered on neglect, as he disregarded the symptoms of many issues and attempted to convince me such matters were ‘psychosomatic.’ Due to this disregard, I went through four months nearly bedridden on improper medications, and he twice ignored lung ailments, a pleurisy and bronchitis, which I ultimately ended up in the ER later for treatment of these conditions. He also did not tell me of a preexisting medical condition I have or attempt to treat it, Disk Disease.
I like Dr. Rinker. He is young and to me that means the latest and greatest treatment options are available.
John M Rinker MD has a 2.6 star rating with 11 reviews.
