We are the perfect tenants. We paid our rent in a lump sum at least 6 months in advance, we gave more than 30 days notice, and we left that place so amazingly clean. The property manager did a walk thru with us and everything was perfect. We moved out on June 20, 2013 and it is now 7/15/13 and we have not received our deposit back yet. They are a bunch of crooks!!! I specifically asked, in a letter that I gave them with my notice, to be present for the walk through and was never contacted and then I got a letter in the mail, after the time frame they were supposed to get me my deposit back, saying I wasnt getting my deposit back because they had to charge me for some things. Michael has made me the calmest I' ve been in months! The tenant late fees are gone and refunded, and he is always making sure that operations are running smoothly for our place in Issaquah. He deserves a raise, and I told him that myself. Thank you for solving all of my rental issues!

As an owner, I have found working with this company very frustrating. As I pay them to "manage" my property, I end up managing it with coordinating the repairs and the tenants. Charges are posted without notifying me and getting a copy of repair bills from them has been trying. To top it off, the checks for the rent arrive well after the "contracted" date. I cannot speak as a tenant, but as an owner, I feel that this company should provide much more for the fees that they charge.

Out of all the Real Estate offices that I have worked at and been to in the 20 years in the business, The office of John L Scott Renton, WA is by far superior over any real estate office I have had the opportunity to serve. i rented from gates for some time when i went to move they tried to keep my deposit and made up a lot of lies when i told them i wanted to walk through with them and see what they said was wrong they said no and i would have my deposit in the mail
