I was honestly very scared after reading some of the reviews. I want to share my real experience. This is a psychiatric facility. The people admitted there are often going through very difficult mental health crises, so yelling or screaming can happen. That is part of the environment and not a reflection of the staff. One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had they sent a patient that was still mentally unstable in a Lyft to a unknown address 60 miles away who ended up being put into a another hospital for a 72 hour hold she’s lucky she’s alive due to their negligence staff stole her clothing and phone unbelievable this hospital should be investigated by the state and county for abuse of the patients.
I am truly grateful to the incredible doctors, nurses, and staff at John George Hospital for the care and compassion they showed during one of the most challenging times in my life. Placed me on 5150 out of pure ego trip. I laid quietly without disturbing anyone at night and the staff repeatedly came by telling me to go to sleep before they make me go to sleep. Finally they made me lay on the floor in front of the staff counter to sleep there. And told me to take a pill. When I said I didn’t want to take any medication, they said you can take it willingly or we can make you take it.
