I highly recommend Dr. John Erickson and his team. I recently underwent an ulnar nerve release (cubital tunnel syndrome surgery) and have been extremely satisfied with the care and outcome. I met with Dr John Erickson for a consultation re., my shoulder. He has excellent communication skills which was not surprising given his field of studies at Penn. Equally impressive was his assessment and diagnostic skills. After his examination and our discussion, his thoughts focused on Quality of Life and Risk/Reward ratio in making any decisions (shoulder replacement). I will be following up with Dr Erickson (& his excellent staff) should I need any treatment.
Dr. Erickson was probably the best doctor I've had in terms of communication, patience, and I also just felt confident I knew what to do based on his evaluation. He took his time and did not rush through things. He drew things on paper, showed me an x-ray, manipulated my hand and wrist, etc. to go to great lengths to explain the possible issues were with my wrist. I consider Dr. Erickson to be one of the best orthopedic hand surgeons that I have had the good fortuneto have had. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable in his field, but he is caring and takes the time to explain the condition, or procedure, in a manner that the patient can easily understand.
