I brought my Tahoe in with a flashing check engine light, hoping for a proper diagnosis and repair estimate. Instead, the dealership refused to even attempt a repair and told me my only options were to replace the entire engine or trade in my vehicle. When I asked for a real estimate, I was given nothing more than a vague “guestimate.” I specifically requested a quote to repair the known lifter issue—something that’s common on these vehicles—and was told to take my truck elsewhere.
