I had my first appointment with Dr. Wheeler yesterday. I had some bad experiences with another OBGYN, so I was nervous! He absolutely exceeded every expectation. Dr. Wheeler and his medical assistant both took extra time to talk to me. No rush! He was kind, knowledgeable, and understanding.
"Just have to yank it out like a band aide" is what he said as he removed my Mirena. And that is exactly what he did. It was awful. I have had multiple IUDs and that was, by far, the worst removal experience out of all of them. His speech and movements were so rushed I questioned to myself if he was under the influence of some kind of stimulant.
