I called with what was a lump on my neck below my chin that developed while I slept. I was told that even though I've been assigned to him by hmo insurance since February that I was considered a new patient and that he wasn't allowing them to schedule appointments for new patients because of the coronavirus. They told me to go to urgent care. I went to urgent care where they thought I might even need surgery. Great Physician Dr Elser is a wonderful doctor - a practitioner who sincerely gives his patients suggestions that is in their best interest. He highly knowledgeable, competent and has access to a solid network of other terrific professionals /specialists. I have seen him guide and mentor internists with patience and expertise. He is an outstanding doctor & I highly recommend him.

Patient presented for routine check up and complained of shortness of breath when bending over. Doctor replied, "well don't bend over." He never examined patient. Patient was rushed to ER 3 days later due to shortness of breath and died. ER staff was concerned that Dr. Elser did not previously examine and properly advise patient and his family during prior visit. Great office staff, but experience with Dr. Elser was life changing and traumatizing.
