I had my surgery on the 4th of September. The surgery, total right hip replacement, went barely an hour. I did some PT on the same day and was discharged at 3 pm. I did not fill my pain medication because my only discomfort was just some soreness on the incision site. I was on a walker only 5-6 days, was on a cane on the 6th day after surgery and have been driving since then. I went back to work two weeks later and have been totally pain/discomfort free. My daughter had a PAO on her left hip in June 2020. Dr. Clohisy and his staff were absolutely amazing! She is recovering amazingly with little pain. Nurse Madelyn is extremely helpful and was great about getting back to us quickly and answering our questions. They are patient and kind and very knowledgeable. I can’t say enough great things about this group!
All I can say is: This operation was wonderful in so many ways: 1)Initial consultation was concise and timely. 2)Barnes West Hospital was spotless and employed very positive and considerate ambassadors 3) The procedure started on exactly on time and met with all given expectations 4) I was out 12 hours later and feel great. Changed my husband's life. Couldn't speak more highly about this doctor and his knowledgeable staff.
The best hip Dr in the country. My daughter had hip issues that another doctor in another town tried to fix. Two years later we had to go the doctor again because she was having issues once again. He said to see Dr Clohisy. We got a second opinion and the second Dr recommended Dr Clohisy. Now my daughter has an issue with her other hip. The only Dr we will let work on our daughter is Dr Clohisy. Thank you all at Clohisy's office, you all rock.
