Berestka did Cataract surgeries on each of my eyes 1 yr apart. Thankfully the Rt came out better than the left -- AND AZ only requires you to have correctable vision in ONE EYE, otherwise I'd not be allowed to drive!! He has excellent credentials, which is what I relied on, but, re: them, he told me that they've only informed he as to what can wrong. As to what went wrong, another Ophthalmologist told me, from what was noted on my chart, HE HAD IMPLANTED the WRONG LENS to correct the noted about of ASTIGMATISM I have.
The whole place was sub par. I made an appointment for contacts and a lasik consultation, and all they did was update my eyeglass prescription which was the same as before. I was told the contacts were a separate exam at a later date. $469 out of pocket for nothing. Called to tell management my experience and they never returned my calls. I definitely would NOT recommend. Be prepared for language barriers as well.
Excellent listening skills, technical skills, and medical knowledge, and a genuinely nice person. Dr. Berestka crafted a solution to my complex eye problem with precision and excellence with several surgeries and follow up care. He is an outstanding team leader, so the care you recieve from his assembled team is 100% top notch. He works as a colleague with your other doctors. He is a dedicated professional who sets very high standards for helping his patients. The end result? Now I see well.
