First time I seen him was great. Gave me injection in my knees. Second time I seen him the injection hurt more because he didn't numb it first. Not going back to him
Unfortunately we ( my mother and I) had a terrible experience with Dr. Hefferon last week at NMH. He injected a gel ( Hyaluronic acid) to my mom’s right knee without applying any antiseptic or cleaning before injection. He did remove the cover (cap) of the needle with his mouth ( teeth) which was very disgusting and I was frozen of his acts. I never ever seen something like that happen in my whole life. Dr Hefferon was referred to me back in 1993 after my first dr botched my first arthroscopic surgery. I was 19 at the time and dr Hefferon had to do two additional surgeries to repair my knee over a two year period. Fast forward almost 25 years and he did another surgery on my knee when I was in my early forties almost 10 years ago. It was extensive and I was on crutches for 2 months but his knowledge and my trust in him never made me waiver from driving three hours from Peoria where I lived at the time for him to fix my knee... read more
