Many years ago, I went through a harrowing veterinary malpractice experience. Unfortunately, at the time, no organization like Joey’s Legacy existed. Since then, I’ve become quite active in crusading for companion animal protections and, along the way, I discovered Joey’s Legacy. Whether it be a letter to a regulator or legislator, insights/updates on the latest (and sometimes not so greatest), or a sense of community, I can always count on Joey’s Legacy for support. For that, I am so very appreciative.
I was referred to Joey's Legacy by a well respected attorney here in Florida after I contacted them about the gross medical negligence/malpractice that my precious boy Robert suffered at an emergency hospital that resulted in his horrible suffering and death. I am so grateful to have found such an incredible resource to assist me to get justice for my poor boy. Scott and Joey’s Legacy were life savers when my baby lost his life in New Hampshire before I moved to Tennessee. I did not know what to do until I stumbled upon Joey’s Legacy. They were kind, understanding and very knowledgable and really helped me navigate a truly broken system. The amount of compassion they showed was truly amazing. I'm so incredibly grateful for this organization. Our pets have been considered only property for way too long. They're family and Joeys legacy is changing the way the legal system operates in that regard. We have many wonderful vets, but unfortunately we have some operating below the standard of care.
