UPDATE: I have now had both knees replaced by Dr. Joey Romero, and the difference between the two surgeries has been remarkable. My first replacement was the traditional approach, cutting through muscle and tendon. My second, six weeks ago, was the muscle-sparing approach Dr. Romero used.
