Dr. Papa is one of those people whose competence and expertise are palpable just by being around her. My mother went into the hospital presenting with bowel obstructions and Dr. Papa saved her life with emergency surgery. More than that, the surgery revealed some very unexpected results to which Dr. Papa skillfully adapted. Dr Papa removed a very large Keratoacanthoma - @ 1.15” x .30” high from my shin exactly 2 years ago with no skin graft and today you cannot tell which shin it is. I’ve had a lot of surgery. She should be a plastic surgeon. Fun person too.
I saw Dr. Papa several months ago for a boil I had in my right armpit. It was swollen and had to be drained. She did an in-office procedure where she used a scalpel to slit a hole for pus to ooze. Despite the procedure being a bit uncomfortable, I was happy to get this done since I had been feeling discomfort with this boil there. However, I noticed how HUGE the slit she cut was.
