My 12 yr old Armada needed a alternator, or so I was told by AutoZone. Made sense, a 12 yr old vehicle needs repairs sometimes. Had it towed 2 blocks to Joe's. They suggested a diagnostic to diagnose the actual problem and I agreed. AutoZone workers are auto parts store employees not mechanics. Joe's diagnosed a bad cable end and fixed it. Cost me 20$ plus the diagnostic 150$. They covered the tow so I didn't pay for that. They could have easily told me I needed an alternator and run up a 700-800$ bill but they didn't.
