I’ve been seeing Dr. G. for 2-1/2 months now (chemo) I had bladder, prostrate & lymph node cancer. I ve had 3 surgeries this year&dealt with multiple doctors. Dr. Grossman by far is the BEST out of all of them. Fully explaining my treatment options,Awnsered all my questions in a way I could understand & what I would experience. I would give him 6 stars if I could. His staff also seem to truly care about me as an individual. They make a really tough time a lot easier.
On Jan 21, 2016, I was diagnosed with Peritoneal Carcinomatosis a.k.a. cancer of the lining of the abdomen.I met with Dr. Grossman & my journey began. He's a brilliant man of few words & what was most important to me is his knowledge--he was thinking of a recipe that will help me thru my battle. It was a rough road during chemo but even with his quiet manner I knew he was looking out & doing what was best for me. Today, for the 1st time I heard the words "In remission". Thank you Dr Grossman.
Dr Joel S. Grossman has a heart for people , very easy to approach. He's very concerned about his patients making sure that all questions are answered, never leave without the knowledge of my condition.. I will refer family and friends to my Dr Joel S. Grossman. Dr S. Grossman has ears to hear and he listens well.
This doctor treated my mom for lung cancer and has the worst bed side manner I have ever witnessed. He also told her chemo wouldn’t be a good option for her stage of cancer. When we went for a second opinion the doctor said he actually documented that chemo was offered and that my mom refused. I can’t believe people like this can sleep at night with others lives in their hands.
I have been seeing Dr. Grossman every 3 weeks going on 5 years for breast cancer maintenance. He is truly a gifted, concerned, compassionate doctor who is up to date on the best treatment for his patients. Dr. Grossman answers all questions or concerns calmly and in a manner the patient can understand. He offers comfort, kindness and security during a difficult time and I am blessed he is in my life. His staff is superb and go above and beyond for their patients.
He explains complicated things very well so we understand them. Everyone in the office is great.
My husband was diagnosed with lung cancer a year and a half ago, and Dr. Grossman has been wonderful. His quiet competence has made an extremely frightening experience manageable. We find him to be caring and compassionate, and his dry sense of humor helps to lift our spirits each time we visit. We feel very lucky that he is my husband's doctor.
Dr. Grossman has a flat affect and is very negative. There is no joy or encouragement coming from him. Cancer patients need a sense of hope in order to move forward and live their lives, but none is forthcoming from him. He is a real downer! I have stage IV metastatic prostate cancer, but through the support of my wife, a new medicine, and the efforts of my very encouraging primary oncologist, I am in remission, and possibly cured. However, Dr. Grossman still cannot believe it.
