Paid 5k for me to do their paperwork and they disclosed confidential information to my ex and his lawyer that I went out of my way to have redacted and private and it put me in more danger. He was rude, they never properly defended me and I literally lost everything because they did not uphold their duties. He didn't take me serious. I will be pursuing my losses with them in the future with real representation. They also charged me $500 extra that I didn't owe on their automatic system that I'm unraveling. The absolute worst law firm I have ever encountered.
I hired Joe Frick Law Firm (David Bartels) for a divorce and custody matter and do not recommend them for custody cases. I was new to this process and relied on the firm to manage urgent deadlines and a child‑safety situation. Early on I was told I would consult with an assistant and this is normal for all law firms (which I accepted, due to limited time to reply to the divorce petition), but later learned that most lawyers do the consults their selves-the first inconsistency.
