I requested information on May 13, 2020 from an apartment they had actively listed on Zillow. When I got a response all that was included in the email was an application. So I sent it back, and they immediately ran my credit and on May 19, 2020 I received an email from Sheree Demith that said “You have been approved When do you want to move in?” I asked if I could view the apartment first and she agreed. Around 2 weeks ago, I was at a bar and my memory suddenly stopped. I woke up in 501 W Springfield (a Joe Allan Properties building). All of my things were stolen including my phone, winter coat, debit card, cash, and IDs. I don't know anyone who lives in the building or even near the building. Everyone who lived in the building was rude and frankly nasty to me when I woke up and claimed to have "stepped over me all night" instead of calling for any type of assistance. they blatantly lie about work being done and try to bill you with itemized lists. We had to contact a lawyer and luckily, I had documented proof that we were on the property the ENTIRE time that their maintenance crew supposedly spent 2 full days doing nothing but 'cleaning and fixing our house'. We were able to (after weeks and weeks) get most of our deposit back. They refused to take care of an incredibly dangerous bee infestation in the lawn, and suggested the maintenance guy literally dump gasoline on our lawn and light ... read more
My son and his wife live in one of these properties and it is very well maintained. The units are very spacious and beautiful!
Hillcrest in Mahomet is a nice place to live......
