Joaquin is the only person I trust to cut my hair since I moved to Chicago. He is extremely chill and personable and he cut my hair exactly how I wanted it cut. I will definitely be returning to his salon. Plus his dog Barbie is such a sweet receptionist.
I’m very disappointed to say that I got a mediocre men’s haircut here today. I really like Joaquin. I’ve been coming here in the past, he had been great with my hair. I admittedly got there 5 minutes late, but my hair was surprisingly done in a quite a short period of time. The shampoo sequence and haircut felt very quick and strange (I think conditioner was left out), did not take a lot of time, and just not as usual—it felt like things were being left in half or were being rushed! If I was filth, filthy, disgustingly, insanely rich, which I’d have to be to get him to agree to do this… I’d beg Pedro to hire him to style me, do my hair, I’d pay for him to take classes so he could learn fillers and Botox and we’d just travel, shop, eat and be fabulous! But I’m not so I’ll just brag about him. Pedro was the hottest stylist at The Gallery of Hair in one of the least happening neighborhoods in Chicago but he made that place his own!!
