Joan Marie was phenomenal. She mediated my divorce and somehow made a terrifying and soul crushing process bearable. She made me feel safe and heard while maintaining the upmost professionalism. I can only hope that all divorce mediations are handled with the grace and wisdom mine was.
I've know Joan Marie for several years in a professional capacity. We have had cases against each other where we were on opposite sides of a case. I've referred cases to her when I've had a conflict, and she has assisted in mediation in several of my cases. Joan Marie is knowledgeable, empathetic, and is a miracle worker in mediation. Joan Marie navigated my divorce mediation with an eloquence I didn’t know was possible. A beautiful space, comfortable accommodations, and great staff. Her assistant Scott was so knowledgeable and helpful. No one “enjoys” divorce mediation but my time there was enjoyable, nonetheless. She was experienced, timely and her insight was invaluable. Horrible, I literally had to argue with her about me not paying child support and the mediator had to side with me after she threaten me about paying more. I had to pay 5k just to defend myself from my lawyer multiple times throughout the case.
