I love this place. First time there today. Food was great but the atmosphere and ownership even better.
Very hard to locate as it set way back from the road and looks like it's a warehouse. Oh well, I finally found it today. Inside was strange, old furnishings , certainly no describable decor, except may Goodwill inspired. Ordered (takeout) fatty pastrami on rye with side of potato salad and pickle ($16.00 + tax). The sandwich was tasteless with only a packet of mustard to add some flavor. It had only a LITTLE amount of DRY meat on two slices of cheap store-bought bread. The people were kind and welcoming. The food was delicious!!!! There was a large selection of foods to choose from. The whitefish salad was amazing and brought back wonderful memories of my childhood with my Bobbie. We will definitely go back.
There is a large kosher grocery, deli, and some tables to eat in. Home made foods were authentic and delicious. The knishes would have made Mrs. Stahl proud, Brighton Beach landmark. Workers friendly funny and helpful. Limited hours so check first.
We were guests of our buddy who raves about Jo-El's, so we took a trip to try this Kosher Deli. The moment we walked in there was a POSITVE FEELING. The exceptionsl food, the friendly service and the wonderful lady from the kitchen came out and greeted us like we knew her. Overall, we will definitely return with more friends and let other "foodies" know about this Hidden Gem. 🇺🇸👍🙏
