Prefacing to explain that I am an animal keeper myself at another facility. I currently do or have cared for many of the same species. I love going to smaller or privately owned zoos because it is a more personal experience. In fact, one of my best friends from college worked here with the animals when she was younger so I know the staff only want the best for their animals and loves them dearly. This is a Small Farm that made a zoo. it's great to take kids to see. 100% loved it. A must see.
Good variety of animals, some nice shade areas and fun to feed the animals!
Had a wonderful experience with my family. The animals were amazing and the staff. I will definitely be back!
It's a small display of large & Small animals. Grounds could have been groomed. Picinic area wasn't cut, grass long. Pesty cat so couldn't eat at tables. Cat kept jumping on table by food😡 Play ground area for children has much to be desired. No pony rides as mentioned on there site. From 1-10, I'd give it a 4.

Due to her size and scoliosis this dwarf horse would never give rides. Our ride ponies live in pastures on the property.
This is like the Caledonia version of Joe Exotic’s zoo. While I had a good time and my kids thought it was amazing, I struggled with an ethical dilemma the entire time. The large cats just don’t have enough room and the bear paced back and forth the entire time. It was sad that the animals didn’t have any sort of stimulation and their “habitats” were tiny. It’s just so odd that there are two types of these “petting zoos” within 30 minutes of each other.
