RecommendedMy 1 year old son and I enjoyed our time at Jo-Don Farms! It’s a small zoo with several opportunities to feed the animals. It is definitely a hidden gem and I highly recommend it! We can’t wait to go again!
super friendly staff. they brought several of the animals and reptiles out for the kids to pet and interact with. I'd say the kids had more fun here than going to the bigger zoos. we will definitely be back.
Needed to get out in the nice weather with the grandkids, no crowd! Most of the animals were out and active with much chatter amongst them. Got to hear the lion roar, watch the monkeys play, and feed the goats. Children’s play area & picnic spot available.

Being the animal lover I am, I am always a but stadoff-ish with zoos. I was excited to be able to introduce my young children to animals in a local setting. I was sadly surprised at the condition some of these animals were kept. The larger animals like the tiger, lion, bear, kangaroo seemed miserable. They were in caged spaces much too small, and they either paced the entire time, or later with a depressed look. Many of the animals looked malnourished, or injured.
