Our experience with J & L Moore Property Management was extremely disappointing. In my opinion, they acted like slumlords. Throughout our tenancy, we repeatedly requested repairs that we felt were necessary. One of the biggest safety concerns was the stove. The cooktop was dented, causing pans to slide unexpectedly. On several occasions, I barely caught a pan before it fell to the floor, yet the stove was never replaced. As a renter, I was very upset at m having had to live a year with a nightmare smoker next door with horrid odors, but Im beginning to find they are very quick with repairs, and being sensitive about the health of my pets.
I had a genuinely terrible experience with this rental agency. They are dishonest shady and thrive on cutting corners and upcharging tenants for repairs they are legally required to make. This agency was slow to assist us with repair requests, and did not meet the statutory standards outlined by Oregon tenancy laws. Primarily for potential renters... If you have an opportunity to rent from a place managed by any other rental management company, do that. I began renting from someone who then sold her property to be taken over by J&L Moore Property Management LLC. To be very clear, I moved in when it was only partially remodeled, so there was considerable wear and tear on the living areas. I thought this property management was great at first, then when I moved out, they took almost my entire deposit, although I left the house in near perfect condition. I paid a professional carpet cleaner, paid a professional move out cleaner, and triple checked the house to ensure things were left good. I have a good rental history and always leave places clean!
