I took my 9 year old son to Dr Mehta for a fractured ankle. He has never had more than a skinned knee so he was very nervous. She interacted with him in a way that made him comfortable and she earned his trust. She explained his injury and what she had to do to treat it in a way that he understood. She listened making him feel heard and respected. The gift to explain complex things to children without sounding condescending is rare and Dr. Mehta has that gift.
