I had my very intimate wedding reception after my Lake Tahoe elopement here. We had a total of 20 people and reserved their little wine room and it was perfect. The wait staff was SO attentive and kind and conscientious. The food was yummy, the atmosphere was private and lovely. We recently visited South Lake Tahoe and stayed at The Landing. Overall, our stay had many highlights, along with a few notable drawbacks. The biggest pro is the location, it’s unbeatable. You’re within walking distance or a quick complimentary shuttle ride to Heavenly Village, the casinos, and restaurants, yet the hotel still feels private with its own beach access. The hotel says they're dog friendly but my husband was not allowed in the restaurant with the dog (even though their website says dogs are allowed at Jimmy's) I would not recommend taking your dog to this hotel if you prefer going to a restaurant with your dog. Other than that, the hotel is dog friendly. Also, the bed is made all with flat sheets, so any movement and they start coming off the comforter or mattress.
