I had an excellent stay at The Landing Tahoe Resort & Spa and was especially impressed by the exceptional service from Charles, the Front Office Manager. What a great end to our three-week American holiday. Such a lovely room, with a great view of the lake. Comfy bed and the food in the resturant was excellent - we ate here everynight. Location was perfect for a stroll along the beach / lake or into Navada for a play on the slots, or a drive around the lake to some vista points - all very easy. Would definately return.
This review is specifically regarding the spa because as a local, I have not stayed at the hotel overnight. However, my appointment at the spa warrants me writing a review because I had such an exceptional experience as a guest of the spa--from the way every staff member and employee treated & spoke to me from the moment I walked in up to the moment that I walked out, including the hotel's front desk and spa front desk. I went for a massage without staying at the hotel, and there was nobody at the desk for a few minutes. If there was a directory, I could have gone to the spa without waiting. Maybe they don't want people wondering around for security reasons?
I would definitely not consider this 5 start hotel. They were under staff. Also the room is not direct lake facing so please keep that in mind before booking. The amount of money I spent per night is not worth it.
