I had a great experience here when I forgot to bring prescription medication with me on a trip. I emailed the practice, and the doctor was able to see me the next day even though it was on a Saturday. The administrative team handled billing my insurance, sending my prescription to a nearby pharmacy, etc. I really liked Dr. Savage as well. He's definitely a character. He has an expansive mind and a ton of expertise on lots of topics, and I really liked talking to him.
I have been a patient of Dr. Jim Savage in San Francisco for over 20 years, and I can say with certainty that he is one of the best doctors in the Bay Area. We came to this clinic for a few travel vaccines and ended up spending several hours there.. far longer than expected. The visit started off poorly when the doctor asked us what we wanted instead of providing clear guidance. There were multiple long waits: for the doctor to arrive, for the brief “consultation,” for him to share his “recommendations” (which, surprisingly, appeared to come from ChatGPT), and for the staff to prepare the vaccines.
