Just had my first baby everything felt like a dream just to end up being a nightmare. The labour and delivery nurses were extremely supportive except for nurse Lisa extremely unprofessional unpleasant who has zero tolerance for different ethnicities. She insulted us with an authoritative tone infront of other nursing students and was ready to throw us out of the hospital as soon as possible leaving me and my family in tears. My son was admitted for major stomach issues in 2024. While the facility is very nice, he celebrated his 17th in a hopistal bed. And a few days later he was released. 2 weeks later, rushed back for the exact same issues. He was denied admission as he was deemed an "adult". They put him in RUH. Because he was under age, he needed myself or wife to sign off on the heavy medication. Meaning, he always needed an adult present. I love what the children's hospital provides, I love the doctor's and appreciate their dedication and hard work. The administrators? They're jerks , if you're a native in a free health care world. They will surely treat you like it , that means you will be waiting for hours while everyone goes ahead and you remain patient and polite. They will tell you it's not in order but by how sick they are, even when your baby has a fever of 41. We had a great beginning with a worst ending which will always give us a bad taste in mouth. We had an SGA baby for which the OBGYN suggested to stay longer than a day for monitoring of our little one. We got nurse France she was the best thing that happened to us she cared for our little one with all her heart. We never had any complains with her but as soon as we are we were about to leave after staying for two days as per suggested by doctors on duty we were assigned with Nurse Lisa she was the reason of our lousy ending ... read more
