James Bailey (James Bailey & Associates) was referred to me by a friend of mine who has been a realtor in the Reno area for many years). I needed an appraisal on a vacant lot and a residence in connection with an estate matter. James responded promptly, was very friendly, and provided the appraisal reports in a very timely manner. I just saw these negative reviews on Jim, they are dead wrong. I've been a Real Estate broker in Reno for almost 30 years and worked with Jim dozens of time. He doesn't always tell me what I want to hear but he is always highly professional, thoughtful in his evaluations and fair minded for all concerned.
I called to speak with him to hire him to do an appraisal. He was recommended from another appraiser. When I called Jim Bailey he was rude and spoke poorly of the appraiser that recommended him. He did not speak of any of his qualifications nor his recommendations of appraising the property in question. He was horrible rude and only took over the conversation and assumed everything. I suggest calling other appraisers.
Sadly, Jim is inept at his job. He does nothing but bungle things, and does not care about anything except getting paid. Would NEVER recommend anyone do business with him or anyone he is affiliated/associated with. It's just sad that people like him are in business. BEWARE!
