Foolishly thinking that getting your oil changed is a fairly simple thing I took my car to Jiffy lube several months ago. Among other things they screwed up, unbeknown to me until today they managed to strip the threads on the drain plug thus rendering the plug and the oil pan unusable once the plug is removed for the next change. (How hard is it to screw in a plug? Says something about the competence of a Jiffy Lube technician despite all those certificates on the wall.) So now it cost me over $500 to replace the oil pan.
