Working with JG Contracting & Design Co. (Josh and his team), from beginning to end was seamless. Had a vision and Josh worked with me on recommendations and advice on decor and ideas. I did switch things up a bit; a few upgrades and changes, and he was very flexible and worked with me on the changes, ie colour and style of door handles and hinges to major change of rebuilding/redoing the main stairway, doors and removal of popcorn ceiling, flooring, of course paying for the upgrades. I was referred to Josh and team by my sister who had work done at her place. The situation I was in at my condo unit was a bad renovation job by another contractor a few years ago. The shower base was not draining water properly and would end up leading to bigger issues later down the line. Josh came by to assess the situation and helped me find a middle ground where we wouldn't tear down the entire bathroom shower and start over. Josh is an excellent human being and now a friend. We worked together on redoing 2 bathrooms and the entryway. The end product was fantastic, specifically the tile work. Josh has this exceptional quality of listening to his clients, taking feedback, ensuring the client’s dream project is executed and working hard to keep improving himself. Few things to improve on: communication, meeting timelines and transparency in timelines. Josh knows his trade well and I’d hire him again for sure.
It pains me to write such comments, but I feel like it is my duty to warn others who might be in a similar situation. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this company to my loved ones. I did my kitchen, a shower bathroom (+ storage space), and a small washer/dryer room. There were some positive aspects during this project. I hired JG Contracting to renovate sections of my garage. The communication was excellent — they were kind, responsive, and quick to address any questions. The price was very reasonable, and the quality of the work was outstanding. Josh and his team did an exceptional job, and I wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again.
