At first service seemed good the first day I went in and he talked but as I was getting my earrings looked at there were a few things that threw me off first was none of stones were actually measured just guessed the carat weight so that doesn’t really help with the appraisal and I guess and the fact I called back next day John W. I brought an heirloom piece for appraisal and it was a wonderful experience. The 1 on 1 interaction helped me learn a lot more about the piece, and the process was fascinating to watch. John at Jewelry Appraisers of Portland is fantastic. I loved the sit and watch approach to the appraisal instead of having to send it off somewhere or the appraiser hides away in a back room. I enjoyed how he walked me through the entire process and even let me take a look at my ring under the microscope so that I know what to look for to know that its mine.
