Purchased cookies in plastic container, container opened up after cashier bagged item, cashier then proceeds to grab cookies with his bare hands and puts back into container. WTH. Took cookies to customer service and returned them after explaining what happened. Customer Service asked which cashier and I told them, also informed then I would be calling IDPH. Store has gone downhill since new Director took over.
Short Dated/Expired product. Broken Freezers. Lack of management. This seems to be the standard for the Jewel and Minooka Jewel.
We just had an AWESOME experience at Jewel in Shorewood. We were in line to pay for our groceries. The cashier could see I was trying to keep my 3yr olds attention and stop him from grabbing everything off the candy shelves so she asked him if he wanted to come work for her. She brought him around the cash register and let him assist her in bagging our groceries. I really wish they would fix the ice cream freezers. For weeks now the Edy's has been covered with a layer of frost. I stopped buying it some time ago because when I got it home it looked as though it had been refrozen.
Live in Minooka, right near Minooka Jewel, but will drive extra 8 min to Shorewood. Better quality items in their deli, bakery, butcher shop, WAY BETTER SERVICE (ESPECIALLY DELI, Bakery, and butcher block). Minooka is always out of stuff, Shorewood never is. Cheaper prices. Milk is 2.99 in Minooka, 2.50 in Shorewood, as a lot of other items as well. My kids like it best because they have 3 "car carts", Minooka has 0. Always shopping Shorewood
