My son does not have health insurance, and he paid $150 out of pocket for this appointment to be diagnosed with psoriasis. Unfortunately, Dr. Hou only spent five minutes with him before prescribing medication and concluding the visit. Given the high out-of-pocket cost, we feel the level of care and time spent during the appointment was insufficient. It's unacceptable and irresponsible. We'd definitely not to come back to see her and do not recommend for anyone for this kind of doctor to anyone.
Dr Hou was amazing. I had been fighting a particular painful rash on my chest every summer for years. My normal doc had no clue. 5 minutes with Dr. Hou and now no more rash!
If you have Tricare Select, I would not recommend this office. I found this provider through Tricare, which directed me to contact their office directly. Under Tricare Select, referrals or prior authorizations are not required to see most specialists, including dermatologists. Despite this, the office informed me that without a referral I would need to self-pay, which is against Tricare billing rules for in-network providers. I had such a great experience at Jessie Zhe Hou Dermatology! The staff was incredibly kind, and they took the time to explain everything in detail. I really appreciated their professionalism and how comfortable they made me feel throughout the visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking for excellent dermatological care!
