Horrible attitude! Didn't return calls. My husband spent 5 days in the hospital with a knee replacement! Supposed to be overnight. He didn't know what was going on..he was so out of it. He got no PT those 5 days..he couldn't even order food or use the phone. No antibiotics given either. And no response from Woodcock. When we did see her on a follow up, she was rude and walked out of the room when I asked what happened..and why she didn't contact me.
Dr. Woodcock is an outstanding orthopedic surgeon! When my husband injured his shoulder playing softball, she was our first call. She got him in quickly and provided him with a thorough explanation of his injury. She recommended a surgical and physical therapy approach that she felt would be the best option to ensure his return to a active lifestyle and get him back on the playing field. Narcissistic. Never returned phone calls. What was to be an overnight stay ended up 5 days in the hospital for my husband. His meds were so messed up, her couldn't use this phone, remote, or nurse call button. His antibiotic was not written for his stay in the hospital. The staff at Carolina East Orthopedics is horrible! When I tried to discuss the problems with her calmly, she walked out in a frenzy. According to Woodcock, she never makes a mistake. I would never recommend her..and beware of the staff there. Dr. Woodcock is the BEST! My entire family has been to her for broken bones and back & shoulder injuries--she does it all! When my 8 year old broke her arm at 4pm, Dr. Woodcock fit her into her schedule at 4:45 that afternoon! She is so easy to talk to, great with kids and adults, and it is so clear that she really loves what she does! We are SO fortunate to have such an incredibly trained (MAYO Clinic!) Orthopedist in Eastern NC!
