We've been going to JVAH for about 5 years. We've since moved to the Houston Medical Center, but still make the 40 minute drive to be able to receive the best care for our dogs. Everyone is so great - from the front desk to the tech to the vet. I always trust JVAH and believe that they truly want what is best for our animals. Dr. Stenseng is so patient and caring. If I could choose zero stars I would have. Dropped off my dog there at 7 am with a swollen leg and a fever. Picked her up at 5 and they had done nothing for her except an exam and xrays. No pain meds, not antibiotics nothing in 10 hours. She was worse than when I left her so we went to the emergency clinic. She had a abscess that was pushing infected fluids up her leg and into her neck and abdomen. I will never go back. After over 10 years here they have gone really gone down hill.
If you board your animal you better get there wayyyy before 1 PM on Sunday. Just picked up my dog and I got there at 1PM but by the time they printed the invoice THEIR computer clock said 1:10. Got charged an extra day. I hope that $25 extra was worth a customer!!!
I have been a client of Dr. Shawhan for 20 years. He and his staff are awesome. Highly recommend.
