I have been in recovery since 11 am waiting for a room. Other people have come and gone and they have rooms
I normally have no complaints but tonight I brought my eight year old son in with an ankle injury the intake nurse was so rude to my son for moving his tongue while taking his temperature she gave no instructions other than open your mouth and yes adults know what to do but for a child in pain all he did was move and she was disgusted. Another note he has terrible pain in his ankle yet no ice pack was offered. Thank you to ER staff at JSUMC! My granddaughter had to have stitches in her chin tonight and staff and dr was great!
My aunt had hiatal hernia surgery and had to be re-admitted due to complications. During her readmission, she had to have a J-tube / G-tube inserted. After she was discharged for rehab, due to continued vomiting, she was taken to the ER where it was discovered that the tube had been improperly placed. It was in way too far!! They wanted to transfer her back to Jersey Shore, and based on these frightening experiences, we refused. I can’t say I recommend their ER, it’s more like a theater in the round, everyone is lined up against a wall with a letter above your bed, there are no partitions or even curtains for privacy, you hear everyone’s medical issues, and heaven help you if you can’t walk and you need to use the bathroom
