The August King salmon opening (3 days) was marred by horrible weather. We did not get as much King Salmon as we were hoping for but may have enough to last until the King Salmon open again in mid October. Meanwhile... the Silver(coho) salmon season is going strong and we are trying to fill our freezer with plenty of pretty fish! Think Wild Alaska Salmon! Had a wonderful discussion with Scott about varieties of smoked fish. We came here on recommendation of chef when we asked about best places to purchase smoked fish. We purchased four varieties to take home. They are fine with minimal refrigeration for less than 24 hours. Though Scott had us taste some smoked fish that was just taken off the smoker (yum!), I wish they offered tastings of all their smoked fish even if it was at a cost.
