Would not recommend him to anyone seeking a culturally current, trauma-informed approach to psychiatry. What I never forgot is that he asked me why I don't just "do" what my mental health prevented me from doing (the whole reason I was seeing him). Ultimately, my experience with him always resulted in feeling like I wasn't truly seen or heard. If you are sensitive to health professionals with poor bedside manner, please avoid him. Dr. Jones is the consummate professional. There's no one like him. I have had many psychiatrists and no one even comes close to how brilliant he is. He is an expert at Psychopharmacology. He eases you onto new drugs and gently eases you off of others. He does not give up until he has the best medicines for you. He is also an amazing COUNSELOR! He gives me so much time and I never feel rushed. I always feel better when I leave his office. The best news is he has a great sense of humor!
Dr Jones is wonderful...very compassionate. He really knows his medicines. I just love him and would highly recommend him.
I need a refill on my medicine but couldn't afford to go in because of the co-payment. The desk girl got smart with me after I told her that I cant afford to come in, she said "So what do you want me to do" and I lashed out back on her. Now they won't give Dr. Jones my messages. I like Dr. Jones but now I need to find another Dr. because of the desk girls that answer the phone.
D. Jones is very unfriendly and in it for the money. If you want a doctor who cares and treats you like a person, keep looking.
Dr. Jones is the best I have encountered in medicine management. He has a tremendous knowledge of options, side-effects of medicines and he listens to my descriptions of physical and emotional issues with an astute wisdom that is very reassuring.
