I have been seeing Dr. Rozeboom for several years now. I cannot find the words to express how sad I am that he is retiring. He is trustworthy, friendly, explains things in detail - in other words exactly the kind of doctor you want to have if you have a problem. I had an operation that he performed using robotics and I had an excellent recovery with no complications whatsoever. He never seemed hurried (some doctors practically chase you out the door), and took the time to explain things you were worried about.
He does not listen when you have complications from a procedure he does. Instead he shifts the blame and tries to convince you the problem is psychological instead of physical (even when other doctors confirm that there is actually a physical problem- he will not acknowledge or apologize).
I have had issues with chronic ovarian cysts and endometriosis for 23 years. I have been seeing doctors for this since I was 15. I saw Dr. Rozeboom at an emergency appointment when my Dr. wasn't available. He was the first Dr. to actually show real compassion. Coming from a man, that was so touching I immediately switched to him. He really understands and cares. I'm scheduled for surgery with him now and with his experience, I feel like I'm in really good hands.
I sing his praises almost everyday. I've told friends and family to move from out of state to come see him. I have endometriosis so bad it messed up my intestines. For 25 years no doctor would listen to me. He had me on the table for operation within months. My migraines are better and no more random reproductive issues. My intestines are still bad but he's helping me find help. Don't wait for it to get this bad ladies. Make the move to Iowa, change insurances, whatever you have to do to get in.
I have been a patient of Dr. Rozeboom's for close to 30 years. He is an amazing physician who is always concerned about my best interests and comfort.
