Do NOT waste your time and money with Jere. We hired him to represent us in a DCFS case, not a divorce. Regardless, he absolutely does not have the best interest of his clients whatsoever, and puts in zero effort. Even with the smallest, easiest things such as asking our judge a very simple question regarding visitation, he did not ask because that would require he actually do something! I would fully agree with the other 1 star ratings!! He hardly tried and come to find out he didn’t even file things properly. He came to court unprepared and argued in correct information. He charged me $300+ for a meeting he canceled 15 minutes into it because he wasn’t feeling well. He was more worried about when I was going to get him more $$ than he was about my case. I agree with the others. It would be in everyone’s best interest to file proper complaints with the bar association. Clearly, if you research just a little bit about Jere’s career you’ll find an enormous amount of information showing it is not in anyone’s best interest to even have him representing anyone! Or anything as he does.
Jere Reneer didn't try and come to any kind of reasonable resolution, in fact, it was quite the opposite, he dragged the case out so long, my ex-wife (his client) eventually declared bankruptcy from our divorce proceedings. He is not helping people, but hurting them for his own financial gain. The longer he can draw it out, the more money he makes. In my opinion, he is a sad man who has founded his firm on taking advantage of broken people and broken marriages.
