My experience was with the auto body shop. They were not interested in making any attempts to send an estimate to a 3rd party that state farm deals with. I left the manager a voice message and never returned my call. I would not by a car from the dealership either,if they don't want to help me or are unfamiliar with the process of a 3rd party taking claims for state farm,then why give them any business. I talked to another body shop,and they are more than happy to proceed with working with me.
As a new car owner, I appreciate that they gather all the necessary information and ensure things are done properly. However, the pricing is just not worth it. They overcharge for even the simplest tasks, turning minor issues into expensive repairs. A five-minute fix ends up costing an insane amount. On top of that, their approach can feel intimidating, making it uncomfortable to question their pricing or recommendations.
