So on top of it!!! My husband has had two bouts of endocarditis. The first was last year in Italy and required emergency heart valve replacement there. The second was this year while in a different hospital for a UTI. The ID there was lackadaisical and allowed it to get severe, requiring another valve replacement on the same valve.
