As a Colorectal Specialist I am happy to offer patients a laparoscopic approach when diagnosed with benign or malignant colorectal problems. For patients with rectal cancer, a permanent colostomy can be avoided most of the time. In our group we work together to provide compassionate care and understanding for our patients.

Dr. McNeil made sure we completely understood what the risks were for my mother's procedure. She was very gentle with her and talked her through each step during the check-up. This was important to me as my mother has Alzheimer's. She took the time to make sure my mother understood as much as possible and included her in the discussion
