Follow-up appt occurred on July 19th post non heart attack, heart event on July 15. Dr Tom was extremely responsive and proactive before I saw her in clinic. She reached out to cardiology immediately and submitted a referral to cardiology as well as ordered standard heart tests before I saw her in clinic. It was a bit of a mess on the communication between primary care and cardiology initially - wasn’t clear on exactly what tests were needed during the office visit or in the future. Dr. Tom has been my primary care physician for the past 4 years. I have seen or conversed with Dr. Tom via email on numerous occasions about a variety of generally minor health concerns. She is without question the best doc of any specialty I've been lucky enough to see. I am writing this as I am reading reviews and searching disappointedly for a new PCP having left Kaiser for an employer sponsored healthcare plan. Dr. Tom you are the best!
I was dismissed by Dr. Tom when I expressed concerns over my health, specifically my menstrual cycle. Not having a period for half a year is concerning and I wanted to know what was happening with my body. She's the type of doctor that has made me ignore my own health because I don't want to waste the energy, time, or *money* trying to get help from a professional who just ignores me.
